|“Highlight of our visit!” – Kansas City – USA

We planned the southern portion of our June vacation to allow us to visit TGFKC. Doireann and her staff were wonderful and her dedication to fresh, flavourful, and healthy gluten free food is front and centre. My mother, who does not require a gluten free diet, was as delighted as I was with the quality of our fish and chips meals. I only wish I had left room for dessert. Those who do not deal with severe allergies and/or dietary restrictions have no idea how wonderful it is to be able to walk into a restaurant and order off of a “normal” menu without concern for our health or feeling like we are imposing upon the kitchen and wait staff to address our unique needs. Friday the 13th dinner at TGFKC was most certainly a highlight of our trip!

I am not even Gluten intolerant, went to restaurant with some friends. Could not tell his meal was gluten free and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for you. A very pleasant experience. Would recommend it to everyone not just those gluten intolerant as the meals are so good.

I was diagnosed coeliac in September so it’s nice to know there is a place I can eat out when I go home to Kerry. I first visited in December and remember saying in my facebook review that I would’ve licked the plate after such a fine meal if I was at home and not in public. I visited again in March and had a sandwich with side salads. While ordering I chose one side salad and the waitress kept waiting and had to remind me that that particular order came with more than one side so I got more than just a gluten free sandwich. When I first started to go gluten free I discovered that with safe food in the shops the portions got smaller and the prices got bigger. In the gluten free kitchen co. you get the same size portions as any café or restaurant at a very reasonable price.

We have 3 coeliacs in our house which makes eating out an ordeal but the GFKC is fab! It’s the first restaurant we have gone to that is totally gf, so no worries about cross contamination. The chicken goujons and wedges/fries are a huge hit and the desserts are gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and attentive even when very busy. A 5 star rating & I would totally recommend it to both Coeliacs and non Coeliacs.

I went for lunch here with a few friends, one of which is Coeliac. I had images of uninteresting almost medical tasting food but how wrong I was! There was no way of telling that the food was any different than ‘normal’ food, although I didn’t care much for the scones, my friends liked them a lot and bought what was left when we were leaving.
Deserts were delicious and the surroundings clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
I would seriously recommend anyone with negative images of gluten free food to give this place a try! Coeliacs!

My girlfriend and I are from cork and recently came down for a weekend to Tralee and we visited TGFKC on Thursday Friday and Saturday…and I have to say I wish there was any place like it in cork…the food was Incredible and I dare anyone to try their Cajun wedges and not want more. We were completely filled after the actual lunch but one look at their cakes will make you realise why we couldn’t leave without the desert…the staff are attentive, clever and nice to talk to and the owner Doireann is a joy to talk to…the prices are very reasonable and I can guarantee you will be satisfied…all in all the best lunch I’ve ever had and I’m not even a coeliac…long live the gluten free kitchen company!
